  • What are your payment methods?

    (Stripe)

    Stripe accepts the following credit cards:

    • Visa
    • MasterCard
    • American Express

    You can use their service without opening any account by them.
    Transactions with Stripe are under their responsibility and their own Terms & Conditions.

    (PayPal)

    PayPal accepts the following credit cards:

    • Visa
    • MasterCard
    • American Express,
    • Discover

    You need a PayPal account in order to pay using their service.
    Transactions with Paypal are under their responsibility and their own Terms & Conditions.

    (Bank transfer)

    At our discretion, we accept payment by bank transfer to our Swiss Postal bank account, please contact us at sales@swisstypefaces.com.
    Some additional charges my apply.
    The products will be delivered only after the full amount is paid and notified on our bank account.

  • What about security of the transactions?

    Every aspect of electronic payment is done by Stripe or PayPal: please read their policy for any information about security of the financial transaction.

    We do not store your credit cards informations on our server.

  • What is the difference between the Billing Address and the License Holder?

    When purchasing a typeface on our online store, you will have to add two more informations beside your personal informations filled when opening your account:

    • the Billing Address
    • the License Holder address

    The Billing Address is the address you need to be printed on the invoice
    The License Holder address is the address of the license, the individual or company which will have access to the font files.

  • How can I use my coupon?

    Those discount code have to be used during the purchase process in your client account, you have to fill your discount number under the place "coupon".

    The total amount will be updated accordingly.

  • Do you have a VAT number? will you add VAT to my purchase?

    You'll find our VAT number on your invoice in your client account.
    We only add VAT to our Swiss customers.

  • In which currency can I pay?

    Our online shop will charge you in CHF (Swiss francs). Depending on your credit card and bank account, it may be possible to choose your currency once on PayPal to proceed with the payment.

  • Where can I find my invoice?

    When you purchase a Swiss Typefaces product you will find an HTML invoice in your client account under the Order tab.

    You can print it or save it on your own computer as a PDF document.

    This invoice is a part of the license, so even if you buy a typeface for one of your clients, you need to give a copy of this invoice to your client.

  • Can I upgrade a single style purchase to a package or a complete family?

    We offer up to 72% discount if you decide to purchase a package or a complete family instead of single styles. You can have this discount only if you buy it in one time: we can't reimburse the money of a purchased single style if you decide later to buy a whole package or the whole family, or if you decide to buy the whole family after having bought a package.

    There are some exceptions:

    • you can always decide later that you want to buy the whole Suisse Collection: we will not charge you the style already purchased.
      The Suisse Collection price will always stay at 500€: if you buy enough single styles or packages to arrive to the full Collection you will get it. This operation is not automatic, you have to send us an email and we will tell you how to proceed to get the full Suisse Collection. With the full Suisse Collection (500€) you will then automatically have all the new style that we will add to the collection. More that 100 style are schedule to be released within the next few years.
    • if we release an incomplete family and update it later with new styles, we will reduce the price of the whole family from the single styles or packages you already purchased.
  • How is it working when you update a typeface?

    All the updates are free.
    For important updates you will get an email notification. You will simply need to go to your client account and download the font files again.

  • What is you return policy?

    We do not proceed to any refund once a font is purchased and made available for download in your account.

  • Can I have a discount?

    No. We make no additional discounts on our products: by purchasing font packages instead of single styles, you can save 30% to 50% off the original price.

  • I am a student: can I have a discount?

  • Where can I find my invoice?

    When you purchase a Swiss Typefaces product you will find an HTML invoice in your client account under the Order tab.

  • Where can I find informations about my licenses?

    When you purchase a Swiss Typefaces product you will find an HTML license in your client account under the Order tab.

  • How can I delete my account?

    The client accounts can not be removed or closed by its owner.

    Client accounts contain important information regarding the licenses accepted by you.
    We have no obligation to remove a client account, even if requested by you, as accepted in our Terms & Conditions.

Technical Issues

  • Which system requirements do I need?

    Please refer to you hardware and software documentation for compatibility information about our desktop font format (OTF).

  • How do I open the ".zip" file I downloaded from your website?

    We deliver files with the ".zip" extension in order to have lighter compressed files for you to download.

    If you don't have one already installed on your system, you will easily find a free software allowing you to unpackage our fonts by browsing the web with "unpacking zip folder" + your system information.

  • How do I install my purchased fonts?

    It depends on your operating system (Mac, Windows, Linux, etc.) and if you are using a font management software or not.

    Please refer to the documentation provided by your operating system or font manager.

Softwares issues

  • Which softwares do you guarantee the compatibility with?

    For all fonts we produce, we guarantee that they are valid OpenType CFF (and OpenType TTF on request) fonts, installable and printable.

    OpenType layout features are tested independent from any application, so if the feature doesn’t work, it’s likely that it’s a problem of the application.

    It’s a matter of the application version whether it supports the features contained in the font: please refer to your software documentation.

  • Why is the kerning not working in Microsoft Word?

    In Microsoft Word, kerning has to be switched on manually.
    Please refer to your software documentation.

  • Why do the Italic and Bold weights look strange in Microsoft Word?

    Our fonts don’t contain style-linking, so Bold and Italic buttons will create faux Bolds and Italics.

    Please use the weights and styles displayed in the Font Menu of the application instead.

  • Where can I find the Stylistic Sets?

    It depends of the software used:
    • in Adobe InDesign, you will find them in the OpenType features panel
    • in Adobe Illustrator, you can only access Stylistic Sets via the Glyphs panel.

    For other software, please refer to your software documentation about OpenType features compatibility.

    Please note that Stylistic Sets are not included in Free Trial versions.
